Capitol Reef NP and Fish Lake

Twin rocks,
located just as you go into Capitol Reef.
Or 2 big mushrooms???
On the drive south we noticed this;
frozen irrigation lines

Capitol Reef National Park is
in southern Utah, 1 of the 5 in our state

Notice all the red rock
Sally on a curly tree
The Castle

One room school house in Fruita, UT
used until 1941

One room school house
where 8-26 children were taught
Petroglyphs ( prehistoric Indian drawings)

Pretty flowers

I think this looks like a dinosaur

The different colors of the rock is amazing

Is this a snake or clam shell?

Another view, looks like a snake ready to strike

This tree must be about thousand years old,
ok, maybe a few hundred

Paul with the man eating tree

LDS early chapel

Free range cattle on the Gooseberry Road in
Fish Lake State Park
at this point we were at about 12,000 ft. above sea level
that explains the snow

Coming down a very narrow, switch back road

We had a fun time,
had yummy fresh baked mixed fruit pie
in Fruita, went swimming at our motel,
and Paul got to seat in the car while I
had fun shopping.
Thanks Dear.
We also were able to listen to
General Conference on the radio.

Capitol Reef National Park was 200 miles from our house. It's the closest National park to our location (there are 5 National Parks in Utah).
