I flew into PHL on Thursday afternoon.
I forgot the yucky traffic in Pa and NJ;
Utah traffic is a piece of cake.
Brian and Rachel came over to
Grandmom and Grandpop's for dinner.
I was good and didn't ask if Rachel
had a "bun in the oven".
So we were talking and having dinner,
when Brian says to me,
"Mom, we have been here 1/2 an hour and you
have not asked.."
I immediately said,
"Boy or girl?"
Brian,
"Rachel has the pictures"
So we all look at the tiny
"lima bean" baby pictures,
and ohh and ahhh.
They Brian says,
"Do you see anything different
about the pictures? Look close"
He had to point out Baby A and Baby B.
We went nuts!!!!! So yes, folks,
we are expecting TWINS on or about
April 23, 2010!!!
Thank you Brian and Rachel!!!
Friday
I went to Collingswood to have lunch with
friends from CHS.
I had an excellent
Italian hoagie.
Yum!
My sister Chris,
was walking by the restaurant and
banged on the window.
So I left my girlfriends after lunch and went
with Chris.
Then back to CHS to visit with
my former teaching partner, Jackie.
I also got to see Lou T, Kim Roos,
Ron Ross, and Rosie Amber.
Jackie and I went
to Rita's and had
water ice.
I was in heaven!
From there back to Mom and Dad's
and then on to Lynn's house for
a rousing game of
chicken foot dominoes.
While there we had
pizza and cheese steaks.
Did I say I was in Heaven????
Now think, PIG IN MUD!!!.
hoagie, water ice, great pizza, and cheese steak
all in one day!!!
Oh, I forgot, Mom
had Turkey Hill chocolate
peanutbutter ice
for dessert on Thursday.
And I tied for first place
in dominoes and won
$4.50.
Saturday
Mom and I went to the Beauty Parlor;
then on to Boscov's.
We drove up to Ambler, PA to
see Uncle Clyde, (age 95),
his daughter, Barbara, and cousin Kathy.
After a pleasant visit,
Mom, Dad and I
drove to Souderton, PA for a
Crouthamel Reunion.
We sat with cousin Lonnie, her husband Joe,
cousins Robin, Nancy and Jane; and my mom's
cousin Kathleen.
I even won a $25 gift card
to WaWa for coming the farthest distance.
So a good time was had by all!
Sunday will be church and
Dad's 85th birthday party.
keep you posted!
