House of Refuge, Stuart, FL

Paul was able to fix the camera problem,
Thanks sweetie!
So yesterday I went to 2 museums,these
are pictures from
The House of Refuge.

The Federal Government built about 10 of these
houses along the east coast of Florida
to help rescue any shipwrecked sailors.

This House is the only one left,
and is quite well preserved.
The area of the island it is on is
VERY narrow,
maybe 100 foot across.

My camera won't transfer pictures to computer!!!!

So I am in a dither,
Can't get my camera to download
pictures to the computer!!!!
Yesterday I took a million pics
at a neat museum and "house of refuge"
at the southern end of the island.
Grurrrrrr, sure hope
when Paul wakes up he can
solve this dilemma
I know you are waiting on pins and needles
for my next installment of the
Florida trip.

New Wheels

So, my back hurts from walking,
so I thought a sweet set of wheels would be a good idea.
Bike rentals are very expensive, so I went to Goodwill
yesterday and picked up this pink beauty for
only $19.99 plus tax.

Then off to a craft sale.
Second stop was to a huge
flea market in Stuart, FL
Lunch was
a good cheese steak and lemonade.
More shopping, then back to the condo for a little nap.
Then back to the condo restaurant for
a delicious dinner

Christmas table runner

This is was my Tuesday project. I got the pattern and fabric while we were in
Sedona, AZ in Oct. Just had the time to put it together now. It was jun to make,
a self quilted project. All set for Christmas 2011!
