We celebrated Paul's birthday last night at Tepanyaki Japanese Steakhouse. The food was outstanding!
Kade loves to watch the high flames on the grill, Addi not so sure. It was Macey's (2 1/2 years old) first time to this restaurant; she made the funniest faces when the flames shot up! Sorry we don't have any pictures of her cute little expressions.
Thank you to Natalie, Ethan, Kade, Addi, Eric, Jackie, Brandon, Becca, Micah and Macey for coming. So sorry that Troy, Caleb and Jewelia were sick and couldn't come. :(
We finished off dinner with an ice cream cake, YUM!
Above are the two infant seat covers. They attach to the handles of the infant seat
Brian asked me to make square sheets so the twins can be swaddled.
Flannel burp clothes. I decided to try making them out of flannel on each each side with a light weight batting inside. My new serger came in very handy to sew the sides together.
Flannel square sheets for warm swaddling
Extra absorbent bibs.
Meisje likes them!
Fabric books. Sure hope the boys like everything! I've had a grand old time sewing.
I am sad that I live so far away from Brian and Rachel, sewing for the new babies is my way of showing how much I love them! See you soon Boys!!!
My Dad's brother, Clyde Drissel, (on the right) died on Thursday, he was 95 years old. Clyde was 10 years older than my dad, Sam. In his 70's Clyde never had a bad day. As he got into his 90's, his days were "so-so". Clyde was the Drissel family historian, he had many of the old Drissel pictures and family stories. We loved to visit with Clyde and enjoyed his sense of humor. Even on our last visit to see him in Oct he joked with us. Farewell, Clyde. You will be missed.
Ashlyn is going to be 6 years old on Feb 13. She has a American Classic doll who needs some more clothes. So I made a few outfits for the doll and a matching jumper for Ashlyn Sure hope she likes everything and it fits.
