About 40 years ago, while on his mission, Paul taught a family the Gospel in Holland. The oldest son, Roel Kloosteboer, was 5 years old. Since that time Roel married Barbara, had 5 children, moved from Holland to England; and just moved to the Denver area. Their 2 oldest girls, Yasmina, and Krista will be starting at LDS Business College in SLC. So the whole family is staying with us for a week or so while the girls get an apartment and settled in. Here are a few pics and videos.
Macey and Jewelia This was Macey's first year to make her own house. She really did a great job.
Addi, her house has the Candy corn fence
Kade We are so blessed to have 6 of our grandkids living close by. We love to do fun things with them. They did a great job on their houses. Paul and I wish ALL of our 12 (soon to be 14) grandkids lived close by too. Below is a short video of Macey, Jewelia and our Dutch friend Roel Kloosteboer was helping Macey.
We had our Annual Red Hat Christmas party on Wednesday. A good time was had by all! Instead of exchanging gifts with each other we donated toys to the Marines Toys for Tots.
This morning I went to Caleb's second grade Christmas program dress rehearsal. Above is a picture of us girls. There are 4 second grade classes in Caleb's school. I thought they did an excellent job on all of the songs. Of course Caleb played wonderfully.
Ready to go sledding on the world's greatest snow!
This is pic of the new park down the street from us. Lots of bunny and double black diamond hills. The kids first did a bunny hill. Then went to the top. They did great, zooming down the hill; until they hit a baby tree. No broken bones, just shook up. After this little mishap Addie decided to nix the sledding. Kade was game for more, he just stuck with the bunny hills and worked on steering with his feet.
