Happy 9th Birthday, Micah

Happy 9th Birthday is our oldest grandson,
Micah.
Our camera battery died, so
alas, no pictures of the birthday boy.
Check out Becca's pictures
on Super Spjute's blog.

Ain't Life Funny?

I received a very pleasant phone call on
Tuesday. Megan Danaher called to
say that she and her mom were coming to
Salt Lake and they wanted to take
me out for lunch for my Birthday.
So today we met at Archibald's with Sue's sister, Kathy.
For you who do not know, Megan is my step daughter,
from my second marriage.
Her mom, Sue, and I have been friends for many years now.
How wonderful it is that we could spend a few hours
today as friends and family. The three of them had stayed with
with me a few years ago when Brandon
left for his mission. So it was like old home week.
I know the picture is not too good, it was taken
with my cell phone.
Thank you Megan, for thinking of me,
I really appreciate you!!

News on 2009

We are almost 2 weeks into 2009. What have we been up to?
Paul has spent TWO entire days
trying to get the music synched and downloaded on my
Christmas Ipod.
He lost the library many times.
AHHHHHHH!! and we thought Ipods were easy!
We have copied about 85 CD's onto our
computer and Ipod. I think we must have 50 more to go.
Bet you are surprised we had so many!
We think the condo in Washington is sold, Yeah!!
We are on a new save money, financial kick.
Envelopes for food money, lots of accounts for
all the places money gets spent.
Paul now says what my dad says,
"Costs too much"
It has snowed here about 4 times just in January,
so the good old snow blower has earned it's keep.
Paul now just takes it all the way down the sidewalk,
does our driveway, Melissa and Roy's, and the new neighbors across the street.
It really is addicting.
I made more Valentine pillows, for me and Jackie.
I got a new calling at Church, Sunbeam teacher.
These are the new 3 year old kids coming into
Primary. Luckily I am team teaching
with my friend Diane, who has taught this
class for 6 years. I haven't taught Primary in about
15 years. Back in the saddle again.
Hoping Jackie can walk me through
the steps to improve my blog.
Love ya,
Sally and Paul
