I love weekends when Paul is home
So Paul has been able to come home 2 weekends
in a row.
June 5 he came
in to help
get his dad ready
for the BIG Birthday Picnic.
Paul gave his dad
a shave, ear and nose hair trim,
finger and toe nail cutting
and bought him
some shave cream.
Friday, June 6
we went down to the Manti Utah
Temple of the
Church of Latter Day Saints.
Eric and Jackie
took out their endowments.
It was nice to have lunch with
Jackie's parent's, Marilyn and Rob Springgay,
Jackie and Eric,
Linda and Brett,
and
Marilyn's mom and sister.
Then off to the Temple.
Manti is truly
the most beautiful
Temple I have been in.
Saturday, June 7
was the big
85th Birthday Picnic for Vernon.
We had it in a nice park in South Salt Lake.
Lots of cousins along with Vernon's kids and
grandkids helped to make it a fun picnic
This past weekend, Paul came home on Friday
morning. We went to talk to the
financial guy, bottom line,
Paul has to work for 4 more years.
Yikes! Can I make it???
We hung out, watched a few movies,
cleaned the pool,
went swimming.
Becca and the kids came over Saturday evening
The kids had a good time in the pool. The water was warm;
thanks to the heater.
Sunday was church,
lots of Father's Day phone calls,
Thanks to our 7 kids for remembering
their dear old Dad!

Thank you, Paulie!
So you know how I love
to entertain and have
LOTS
of family and friends over.
And you may know that my
dear husband,
does not always
share that same sentiment.
Even though the weather
report was for rain
all day on Monday,
Paul spent the whole
day on Saturday getting the pool
ready.
It did rain all day on Monday,
we did have a soggy picnic,
Paulie did cook the burgers & dogs
and
Ethan did go swimming
Thanks for a great day!!!

First one in the pool !
It was a great day for ducks!!!
Rain on and off all day on my Memorial Day picnic!
But Ethan and Kade wanted
to be the first in the pool for the year.

Ethan was very brave.
Paul told him the water was 78 degrees;
oops, I think he was about
10 degrees too high!

Different kind of weekend
Paul and I
are having a very
different weekend
than the last 2.
Today we opened
the pool! It is looking pretty
good now.
I am ever the optimist,
still hoping the weather
will cooperate
on Memorial Day
for our picnic.
Pictures of follow!
Hurray for KSL.com
So I listed our downstairs apartment on KSL.com on Thursday night.
Within 1/2 hour I had our first phone call.
We showed the apartment three times on
Friday
and
twice today.
Hopefully we
will be able
to have renters
as nice as
Zach, Lexie &
Issac.
Keep you posted!
